About the Property Care Association (PCA)
The Property Care Association (PCA) is the Trade Association representing professionals in the property care industry in the UK. The PCA represents the following sectors:
- Invasive Weed Control
- Timber Preservation
- Damp Control
- Structural Waterproofing
- Flood Restoration
- Flood Protection & Resilience
- Structural Repair
The mission of the PCA is to work to promote high standards of technical competency, expertise and service across the sectors it represents. By doing so, property owners can have the confidence that when using a PCA member they will be engaging the services of the best in the business.
In order to become a member of the PCA, strict and comprehensive criteria have to be both met in the first instance and then maintained. This is ensured through regular audits of members by PCA Regional Support Officers.
Professional Standards, Training & Development
The Association has developed a range of Codes of Practice, Best Practice Guidance and Guidance Notes covering a wide range of the property care sectors it represents.
The PCA is also the leading training provider in the UK for professional training and accreditation for building preservation, waterproofing, remedial treatments and invasive weed control. They deliver a range of high quality and widely recognised courses for professionals covering all levels of experience and career stages.
You should be aware that the PCA is the only approved governing body for the Japanese Knotweed and Invasive Weeds industry.
